Starpointe Studio specializes in creating unique handcrafted artist’s books, journals, boxes and prints that advocate quality, a sustainable life and professional practice on this fine Earth. After relocating to Kentucky in fall 2012, Starpointe Studio was built to enable Joanne Price’s art to continue growing. The landscape’s narrative has been an inspiration and has spurred new ideas and series.
The landscape has revealed some amazingly bizarre insects, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, and dark night skies filled with views of our Milky Way Galaxy and the stories of so many constellations.

There is a fascinating history attached to the house and land that share 5 acres with Starpointe Studio. The house was built in 1833 and is on the National Historic Register and features ancient oaks, a stone carriage step and a few graves of former residents. The federal style home was designed using proportions of the golden ratio or Φ. The first and second story follow the golden ration, most obviously seen from the front view of the house.
